The Local Peddler is equipped with a very powerful search engine. This is just one more example of how The Local Peddler outperforms your local newspaper classifieds. Here are some of the ways to make the search tools work for you:

1.)  Search all ads in a particular category by clicking on the “Browse Ads” link located just below the keyword search box.

2.)  Search all ads in a particular subcategory by clicking on the “Search Ads” link located on the top navigation bar.  Choose a category and then choose a subcategory to view all ads placed within that subcategory.

3.)  Search for ads by entering a keyword in the keyword search box located just beneath the top navigation bar.  You can search by one specific category or you can search all categories by using the keyword search box.

4.)  Search ads using the Advanced Search Form.  Click on the “Advanced Search” link located just below the keyword search box.  The Advanced Search is similar to a keyword search but with a few more options when narrowing down your search.

5.)  Search ads using the Power Search Form. This is the most powerful search tool of The Local Peddler. Click on the “Power Search” link located just below the keyword search box to provide you with the most powerful search tool options.  The power search allows you to search ads based on very specific search criteria that you define.

6.)  Save items to your checklist for easy retrieval at a later date.  Perform a search and when you locate an ad that you would like to save just check the box marked “checklist status”.

7.)  Set up your own personal search agent by clicking on the “Auto-Notify” ” link located on the top navigation bar. The Auto-Notify feature allows you to set up a personal search agent that will automatically e-mail you new ads that match the keywords or the full database criteria that you define.
